The Upper Clutha Branch are running a culling program for the farmers around the Taieri catchment area shooting domestic geese and inviting NZDA members.

We have 8 farms available. This email has been sent to members from Southern Lakes, Upper Clutha, Central Otago, Otago and North Canterbury

Last year Upper Clutha had 9 shooters and took 380 geese in 2 days

Cost: $35 per person to cover the porta loo and bbq hire
Please pay in advance to secure your place

Follow NZDA signs to the campsite. Please travel at no more than 10kph as this is a operational diary farm.

Onsite contact numbers:
Corry Walker 0274886601
Murry Burns 02102356147

What to bring: Accommodation is camping so bring your tent and camping gear.
We are hiring a BBQ for you to cook your food on and a portaloo

It is recommended to to use buckshot . 1s 2s minimum 3s and as much ammo as you can afford to buy.

Further Info: We are ground shooting domestic geese and promoting the NZDA to all of the farmers of the Manitoto, therefore safe, responsible behaviour and good ethics are expected to ensure we get invited back next year.

NZDA Membership is essential for insurance purposes, no dogs are allowed.
ATVs are NOT allowed however 4wd buggys are, if unsure please call Corry or Murray

Fish and game have approved the use of lead for the culling BUT absolutely NO water fowl to be shot.

Ideally we are looking for between 30 and 50 shooters

Once everyone has registered a list of attendees will be sent out so you can share rides with people local to yourselves.

There will be a Zoom meeting on the Wed night 1st Feb for a quick briefing and an opportunity to ask any questions.
